A Double-Skin
Façade for
Superior Thermal
Performance
The Link’s all-glass façade fills the building with light, something employees have repeatedly requested. This posed a major challenge for thermal management, to avoid excessive use of air conditioning and unbridled energy consumption.

The Link: 4 200 sq.m of Façade-Mounted Solar Panels. A First in La Défense.
The Link’s façade will feature 4,200 sq.m of photovoltaic panels, the largest surface area on a building façade in France and a first in La Défense. That’s enough to cover 20% of the energy used for the high-rise’s lighting. Integrated in the double-skin structure, the panels can be easily replaced during maintenance via service passageways.
